Thanks for highlighting the most irritating email opening lines in your helpful article. One I keep getting is "Dear (first name)" The first time I got it, I thought it was an oversight. But I keep getting them. Is this some sort of tactic? Like the way cheap car dealers misspell things on purpose so prospective customers think they are smarter than the dealer and can therefore take advantage of them?
